HEC PHD Scholarship 2015-2016

Higher Education Commission is responsible to maintain the higher education in the leading and popular universities of the country and they also offer the indigenous scholarship for the PhD students. The students, who belong to the AJK areas and they show outstanding performance during their academic career, they can complete their PhD programs from the institutes or universities, which are duly recognized by the HEC. The scholarship for PhD will be given to the students for the academic year 2015-16 in all areas of studies and disciplines under the project entitled with ‘indigenous PhD Scholarship for the 5000 scholars – Phase 11’.

Eligibility Criteria:

The applicant should be national of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and he must have the minimum qualification of MS and MPhil for 16 years and they must have only one 3^rd division or grade D in their entire academic year.

The candidates, who have direct CGPA 3.0 out of 4.0 in the semester system or first division in the MS or MPhil or equivalent degree, they can apply for grant of PhD scholarship. The candidates, who are already availing any HEC government scholarships in any program or discipline, they do not eligible to apply for grant of Indigenous PhD scholarships.

The applicant can apply for grant of scholarship with the minimum age limit of 40 years on the close of the application on 15 Dec 2015 and they should be full time regular faculty member of university DAIS or public sector & they should be regular employees for the public sector R&D organizations. All other candidates must be 35 years of age on 15 Dec this year.

Documents along with the Application:

The candidates must have to attach the photocopies of the educational certificates and degree, which needs to be attested by the Gazette Officers:

• Attested copy of domicile
• Attested copy of CNIC
• One passport size photograph

The candidates, who are in the government service, they must send their application forms through proper channel and they also need to get the assurance, that they will be released after getting the scholarship and on completion of their students, the candidates have to perform the service for 5 years and serve the country, which is mandatory for them. The candidates can also send the advanced copy, which will be accepted in HEC.

The candidates also need to attach the online deposit slip of Rs.500, which is non-refundable and it is the processing fee, in the favor of DG Finance. The candidates can deposit the fee through any bank in the account number 1742-79001334-01, Habib Bank Limited. The candidates can send their application forms till the deadline of 15 Dec 2015.

The candidates can download the application forms from the official site of HEC and they must fill it online. They also need to post the printed form of the application, which is added with the supporting documents and the copy of the fee slip at the following address:
