Sindh High Court has made it clear that the private schools increase the fee up to 5% per year. The bench was headed by Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and the court gave the strict orders to the provincial education department. The court also issued the warning to the department to submit the quarterly reports so that they can assess the audit of the private schools and ensure that the order is implemented by 5% rule.

The protest was raised across the country last month and the parents challenged the private sector schools, who also raised their voices against the excessive fee in the private sector schools.

The parents took the charge against the situation and 300 students of the Generations School Private Limited North Nazimabad campus lodged the petition in the court. They brought the point in the notice of the court as the fee is rising in the schools beyond the 5%, which is the clear violation of the Sindh Private Educational Institutions (Regulations and Control) Ordinance of 2003 and 2015. The fee structure of all classes in the school must have approval of the government as mentioned in the section six of the law. In the recent past, the private schools increase the rate of fee by 15% to 205 and the court took the notice and declared the increase in fee as illegal and unjustified.

The bench issues necessary statement to the education department about the illegality of increase in the fee of all classes and it has been shown that the above sub rule is the clear violation of article 25 of the institution and the petitions of the schools are dismissed after giving the necessary decision on their petitions.

The students and their parents have shown great satisfaction over this order and they felt sense of contentment after getting the order on the petitions of the parents and students.
