The decision to conduct CSS exams in Urdu in 2018 has been suspended by Lahore High Court. The case about conduction of CSS exams in Urdu was heard by a 2 member bench, headed by CJ LHC Mansoor Ali Shah. Federal Govt. had the opinion on that occasion that it is not prepared yet to take 2018 CSS exams in Urdu and it is not possible to do so. It was told that Urdu translation has not been completed for 43 of 51 subjects which make it impossible to take CSS exams in Urdu in 2018.
According to remarks by CJ LHC, it is not possible to take exams in Urdu by students who graduate in English. It suspended the decision to take CSS exams in Urdu as FPSC is not ready for this and summoned the FG on 13th April to tell about the time required by them to prepare syllabus of CSS in Urdu.
Previously, single bench of LHC ordered to take CSS 2018 exams in Urdu but an appeal was filed by FG against this decision.
