LUMS Alumni Included in top AI Researchers to watch

Haris Aziz is the alumni of Lahore University of Management Sciences and he has been included in the top A1 researcher as declared the ‘A1’s 10 to Watch by IEEE Intelligence Systems magazine.

The magazine issued an official statement in which it is acknowledged that the name of the alumni was included in the ‘AI’s 10 to Watch’ and claimed that they are the coming and future professionals in the artificial intelligence. He is the former graduate of LUMS and he has done BSc (Hons) in 2003 and he was listed for the research work in computational social choice, which is intersection between the field of artificial intelligence and economics.

This honor was given to him in recognition of his work in designing the preference aggregation algorithms, model and algorithms for cost allocation, mechanisms for multi agent resource allocation and team formation with the use of tools derived from the cooperative game theory.

Haris Aziz is now working with Data61 as the senior researcher and this is the largest data innovation group of Australia. He also performed his duties as conjoint senior lecturer at University of New South Wales located in Sydney.

Mr. Haris completed his graduation in Computer Science from LUMS and got MSc degree in Mathematics and Foundations of Computer Science from Oxford University and completed his PhD degree from University of Warwick in the field of computer science.
