OGDCL Makes Partnership with HEC to Offers Need Based Scholarships

Oil and Gas Development Company Limited has started the need based scholarship program to about 130 students, who have good academic background but they are financially weak to continue their education.

The students, who want to get higher education in the multitude of various fields like Engineering, Law, History, Business Administration, Defense and Strategic Studies, Sociology, Gender Studies, Pak Studies, Math, Biochemistry, Information Technology, Archaeology, Animal Sciences, Electronics, Physics and Microbiology. The scholarships are provided for the undergraduate and post graduate courses.

Aim

The OGDCL programs are tailored for the students, who belong to the OGDCL operational and concessional districts. The candidates can download the complete list of the areas. The main objective of the programs is to provide the financial assistance to the students, who are under privileged and are on merit and they want to carry on their education.

The scholarship program will cover the tuition fee, lodging and boarding fee for 130 students in the first phase of this year.

Eligibility Criteria

When the students apply for the scholarship, they should keep in mind these conditions, which are necessary to meet to apply for this program.

1. The candidates must belong to one of operational or concessional districts of OGDCL.

2. The students get admission on merit basis first in one of 9 partner universities.

3. The students, who are enrolled in first semester or year in the courses, which are offered by the partner universities, they are eligible to apply for admission.

4. The financial background of the candidates will show their neediness. The students from the remote areas with the weaker financial condition will be preferred.

There are some additional points about the offered programs, which are given below.

All scholarships in the Quaid-e-Azam University are offered for 02 years master programs only.

All scholarships in International Islamic University Islamabad are offered for bachelors classes only.

All scholarships in the engineering disciplines in many universities are offered for bachelor classes only.

How to Apply

The students should check the simple and straightforward process of the application.

The students should fill out the online application form. The printed scholarship form will be submitted to financial aid office of the partner university with the supporting documents
