Pak Student International Children Peace Prize

Swat, Hira Akbar is the 14 years old Pakistani student and she is the second student from Swat, KPK after Malala Yousafzai, who is selected for the International Children’s Peace Prize. There were total 200 students all over the world and she has been selected for this prize.

She talked with media at her home in Saidu Sharif and she said that she would continue her struggle for rights of the students in Swat. She added that International Children’s Peace nomination motivated her to start her effort for the rights of the children crosswise in the province. Before her, Malala was shot by Taliban activists for her campaign for the rights of girl’s education and she won the International Children’s Peace Prize in 2013.

Dutch Kids Rights Foundation has started the International Children Peace Prize in 2005 by the former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, at the time of leading the Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Rome and Malala became youngest Nobel Prize laureate. The cash value of the International Children Peace Prize is 100,000 euros ($133,000) and it is invested in the projects, which are related to the cause of the winner.
