PMDC issues new Admission Regulations 2016

Pakistan Medical & Dental Council has issued new regulations for admission in medical and dental colleges according to which 85% seats are reserved for local students and 15% for foreign students. PMDC has directed all the candidates to obey these new regulations. Minimum marks required for all the candidates are 60% in FSC (pre medical). The entry test of related federal or provincial government will be necessary for colleges of public sector. The entry test of related provincial govt. will be for its own province/ area. The admissions for seats of open merit and foreign quota will be taken through a public sector university authorized by federal or provincial govt. while main test for admission in private medical and dental colleges will be necessary for every Pakistani. No local college or university will take entry test on its own. The university will announce the admission process in its related medical and dental colleges. All the universities will display their merit list on their websites. Selected candidates will deposit their fee in 7 days. Seats no filled by foreign students will be converted in to open merit seats on the basis of local fee schedule. Students with foreign or dual nationality will be eligible for foreign seats. Every college will display its fees and online bank account no at its official site. Fee for local students is Rs. 64200 and for foreign students is $18000 per year.
