Primary and Secondary Education System of Malaysia

The primary education system which remains for 6 years period and the secondary education which remains for 5 years period that includes 3 years lower secondary and 3 years upper secondary combine and make 11 years of the free education in Malaysia. Actually the exact admission age to the first year of the primary education is seven in Malaysia. Primary schooling system in Malaysia is mandatory for all type of children that are between the ages of 7 and 12. All the students of these ages sit for the common public examinations after ending their primary, lower secondary and upper secondary levels with good marks.
