Project Exhibition Organized by PUCIT

Lahore, The concluding ceremony of Project exhibition has been organized by the Punjab University College of Information Technology. The participants have shown brilliant performance by offering their wonderful IT projects.

Total number of 20 teams has participated in the exhibition. In development category, BSFO8-Agile-1’s SpyEye Parental Control Application stood first, BSEFO8-14’s Agile Project Management Tool won the second position and Fruit Fighter Game (Android phone) snatched third. In research category, BSEFO8-21’s Scanner in Your Hand, BSEFO8-22’s Looking Behind Slits and BSEFO8-04’s Web Crawler projects won first, second and third positions respectively.

Cash prizes of Rs 10,000, 7500 and 5000 were presented to the winning team. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, PUCIT Principal Prof Dr Mansoor Sarwar, faculty members and huge number of students attended the event.

While addressing on the occasion, PU Vice Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran said that due to strenuous efforts of Dr Sarwar, the college had become the huge center of imparting IT education to graduation level in public sector in Pakistan. He said that the college was the best IT College giving IT education quite efficiently in the country and it is hoped that under the leadership of Dr Sarwar, the college would become best IT College of the sub-continent.

He admired college administration and faculty members for administering the project exhibition effectively and said that such events helped the IT students to encourage and polish their talents. At the end of the ceremony, cash prizes and certificates were awarded among the winning teams.
