Punjab Government make rules to Regulate Internet Cafes

Punjab Government is taking steps to legislate the some rules and regulations for internet cafes, which are operating in all over Punjab, stated Sama TV and Apna Time. Bill will be presented to Chief Minister of Punjab Mr. Shahbaz Sharif, in coming days before tabled in the Punjab Assembly.

Reports said bill is being prepared to legislate the way internet café should work. And it will restrict internet cafés to let access to adult and porn contents, websites and videos. As, Internet cafes are being extensively used for immoral and wicked social activities such as hacking websites, sending SPAM, threatening emails, MMS Scandals, accounts hacking and for other Cyber-Criminal activates.

It is reported that internet café in all over the Punjab should be absolute to follow all the given rules in the respective bill. According to the bill, all existing cabins will be removed from all internet cafes. And newly opened café owners will never be permitted to build cabins in their internet cafes as well. Internet cafe owners will be bound to get the Identity Card (CNIC) of their customers and they are absolute to manage and the record of their clients’ identity cards as well.

Moreover, internet café should be closed before 10 pm. So, internet cafes will tolerate to open between 8 am till 10 pm. If any system at the internet cafe is found to have been misused for any sort of immoral activities, the owner of the internet cafe will be considered responsible.

In conclusion, these steps are not enough to stop the immoral activities and Cyber-Crimes at all. And Government of Pakistan should also made rules and regulation following the respective bill. Because these cyber crimes are not only exists within Punjab but also over the Pakistan.
