When ever you need to apply to participate in the German summer language courses then you need these types of documents that are:-

You should have a valid passport which should be valid for three months before you apply.
You should have 02 photographs with you.
You should have a proof that you have registered for language course in Germany that includes certificate of registration or course fees receipt.
You should have a proof that you will be covered by the German health insurance for your duration of stay in Germany.
You should have a proof that you are able to finance your stay and also the course in Germany.

There are some things that you should remember if want to apply for language course participation visa that are

During you language course you should not take any employment because according to participation visa you are not allowed to work in Germany.
When ever you want to study after your participated course is finished than you should have to write all these things in your application form. These things are needed by the embassy to issue you a student applicant visa or student visa that provides you to fulfill the conditions for the issue. Actually these types of visas are provided to students to attend the language courses and also to study in Germany. If you only want to apply for the language course visa than you will have to leave the Germany when course finishes because it is not possible to exchange this visa for any other form of residence permit.
When you will submit your application then it will normally take 6-8 weeks for processing the application and can take 8-10 weeks if your preferred language course is longer than three months duration. The best thing is to send your application to the counselor section in any time but it is must that you should send your application before eight weeks of your plan to travel to Germany.

There is no guarantee of getting visa whether you have submitted all required documents with your application. The ultimate decision about your application will be taken by the counselor or ambassador of German embassy.
