Geography of the New Zealand

Geographically New Zealand consist of two main islands that link to it with many smaller outlying islands that ranges from the Tropical to Antarctic. The country of New Zealand is actually of same size of Colorado. There are usually two main components of New Zealand that are South Island and North Island which are usually separated by the Cook Strait.

 

The North Island area of the New Zealand is round about 116,888 square kilometers long and also has volcano in its south central part. This is the best area of New Zealand that contains hot springs and very beautiful geysers. The South Island area of the New Zealand is round about 152,215 square kilometers long and also has Southern Alps which is along with its west coast and has a Mount Cook which is 3690 m high from the ground.

 

There are many other inhabited islands that include Stewart Island, Great Barrier Island and the Chatham Island. Actually the largest islands are the Auckland islands that are round about 607 square kilometers long. It also has Campbell Island which is 116 square kilometers long and Antipodes Islands that are on 64 square kilometers area and the kermadec Islands that are approximately 36 square kilometers long.
