UHS MCAT Test for Getting Admission in Medical Colleges

Lahore, MDCAT test is mandatory for the students, who want to get admission in the medical and dental colleges and universities. UHS Lahore conducts the MDCAT test of the candidates at the time of admission. PMDC has set the rules for managing the admission test and the marks are calculated in Physics, organic chemistry, chemistry, verbal reasoning, biology and analytical writing. The MCAT is managed for the students, who want to pursue their career in medical and dental field.
MDCAT Test Scores in Pakistan
UHS Lahore has the mandate to conduct the MCAT test annually for the pre-medical students and this test is conducted during the month of August every year. It is mandatory for the students to get admission in the medical colleges or universities in the public or private sector. MCAT test comprises of 220 MCQs, which are taken from four major subjects including Chemistry, Physics, English and Biology.
The test has 88 MCQs from Biology, 44 from Physics, 58 from Chemistry and 30 from English. The entry test is continued for 150 minutes and it is started at 09:00 am in the morning.
Formula for Calculation of Merit
When the students qualify in the MCAT test, then the merit is calculated under the rules set by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) for grant of admission in the medical and dental colleges and universities. The merit is prepared on the basis of total percentage of the applicants by adding the marks of matric, inter and the MCAT test.
Matric: 10%
FSc (Pre-Medical): 40%
MCAT test: 50%
