University of Malakand Starts Student Loan Scheme 2015-16 Qarz-e-Hasna

University of Malakand has announced that the scheme for the provision of student loan without mark up would be provided to the students to pursue graduation, post graduation, MPhil and PhD classes within Pakistan for the session 2015-16. The government is going to launch this scheme for the students under the title, ‘Student Loan Scheme’, which is provided with the collaboration of major commercial banks of Pakistan and the financial help will be extended to the students as free mark up loan so that they can carry on getting education in scientific, technical and professional education within Pakistan.

Eligibility:

Under the student loan scheme, the students are eligible to apply for grant of loans to the students:

1. The student must have got admission on merit through the normal course or procedure in the approved colleges or universities of the public sector.

2. The students must fulfill the age limit of:

For graduation class: Not more than 21 years

For Post graduation: Not exceeding to 31 years

For PhD class: Not exceeding to 36 years

3. The student must got 70% marks in the last public exams

4. The student is unable to continue further studies due to financial problems.

Repayment

The maximum period for the repayment of the student loan is fixed as 10 years, which will be started from the date of disbursement of the first installment of the loan. They will have to repay the loan in installments after six months of the date of first employment or after one year after completion of the studies, whichever from them is earlier.

Application Procedure

The candidates can send their application forms with the provision of necessary information and they can download the application forms from the website of National Bank of Pakistan. The students, who want to avail this chance to get the student loan, they can apply on the prescribed forms to get the financial assistance and get admission on merit by applying the normal procedure of the colleges and universities.

University of Malakand asked the students to forward their application forms on the prescribed forms with the support of the necessary documents (in duplicate) to the National Bank of Pakistan, Main Branch, Malakand till the last date of 30 May 2016 and the incomplete application forms will not be entertained.
