UOM Starts overseas PhD Scholarships

HEC has funded the project of “Provision of Academic & Allied Facilities at University of Malakand” under which the University of Malakand is now offering overseas scholarships in Faculty Development Program. These scholarships will be given to students to take admission in the top 300 universities in the world in the fields of Botany, Geology, Zoology, Physics, Information Technology, Software Engineering and Statistics.

The candidates must be Pakistani citizens having 18 years of education in related field with 1^st division or 3.00 CGPA in MS/MPhil and having maximum two 2^nd divisions and no 3^rd division in the entire academic career. Maximum age is 35 years which is relaxable to 40 years for regular employees of public sector universities. Candidates having availed any other scholarship for PhD are not allowed to take these scholarships.

The eligible candidates have to pass subject test with minimum 60% marks. University will guide the selected students in obtaining visa and seeking admission in PhD. The selected candidates have to sign a bond that they will serve the university for five years after completion of their PhD studies. Last date to submit application form is 27^th September 2016 while the candidates have to attach two recent passport size photographs along with attested photocopies of all the educational documents and CNIC.
