Islamabad, 14th annual all Pakistan Science Fair is going to be started today which is organized by Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Science and Technology. There are different departments of various Universities who participated in the fair and this fair is also divided into two groups including Science Contest and Science exhibition.
During this fair, the students will exhibit their projects of science and it will be continued till January 17, 2013.

It has also been announced by the Sindh Education Minister, Pir Mazhar ul Haq that their government is also going to introduce the biometric/GPRS system in schools and colleges. He disclosed this news while chairing a meeting with the representatives of education department. The establishment of the biometric system will help the educational institutions for inspecting the dropout rate of students and the absence of the teachers. In the starting this system will be established in one boys school and college and one girls school and college in every tehsil so that its effectiveness and performance can be checked and measured.
He further said that the libraries of about 268 colleges will be promoted so that students can take advantage of these libraries and he also emphasized that the libraries of schools will also be promoted.
