6 Pakistani Universities Include In Top 300 Asian Universities

Lahore, Higher Education Commission Islamabad has completed its 10 years of establishment. Highlighting the achievements of HEC during last ten years, Executive Director Prof Dr Sohail H Hayat said that due to tremendous efforts and effective education spreading plan in the country, six Pakistani universities are included in the top 300 Asian universities including two science and technology universities of Pakistan.

He further added that during last 10 years, HEC increased the total number of campuses of the universities from 168 to 258 to spread quality education to the far flung areas of the country. During this period 41 new universities have also been established which are educating people with modern and quality of education. HEC has also played a pivotal role in increasing the number of students in all universities of Pakistan from 330,000 to one million and also increased the number of female students to a considerable extent. HEC also started scholarship programs for the students to get higher education including MPhil and PhD by awarding scholarships to the students. About 2,000 talented and intelligent students of Balochistan and FATA have been given scholarships and now they are also going to award more 600 scholarships to the students of Balochistan for their degree programs like MPhil/PhD.

Dr. Sohail also said that all professional experts should make their relationships good with the industry in order to infuse their knowledge and expertise to solve the problems confronting the industry so that we can help the industrialists to improve their quality of the products.
