Drop Out more than 240,000 from Schools in Sindh

Karachi, About 240,000 children ranging from five to nine years of age group have been struck off from schools in Sindh due to various reasons.
While addressing to a seminar “Education for all – school truancy in children”, Senior Minister for Education and Literacy, Pir Mazhar Ul Haq said that it is their duty to motivate those children to go to school regularly.
To meet this challenge the education department is striving hard and as a result the literacy rate in Sindh is improving at a better rate if compared to other provinces. This seminar was organized by the department of education in Sukkur.
He further added that their government has allocated Rs.12 billion in the budget for education which is the highest amount in all of the four provinces.
