6000 Scholarships Award to Needy Students by HEC

Islamabad, The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has made decision that 6,000 scholarships will be awarded to the talented and deserving students belonging from various parts of the country during the next three years.
Dr. Naseer Ali Khan, Member Higher Education Commission chaired the meeting which was held at HEC headquarters in which this decision was made.
These scholarships would be awarded to the talented but deserving students ensuring transparency in enrolment at various public sector higher education institutions (HEIs)
The spokesman said that the main objective of awarding the scholarship is to give chances to deserving students who are intelligent but they are financially weak and could not support their education.
According to this program which is going to be implemented, special attention will be given to the students residing in Baluchistan, FATA, Interior Sindh and Southern Punjab. In this meeting it was also informed that about 1,000 scholarships have been awarded to the deserving students up till now.
