BISE Sahiwal Will Established Soon

Lahore, The notification for the establishment of the Sahiwal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has been issued by the Punjab Higher Education Department and now it becomes the ninth educational board of the province.

The official of Higher Education Department has told that the establishment of the board was under consideration since long time and now the department has made final decision for issuance of notification after it final approval by the chief minister of Punjab.

The concerned official also further added that the additional charge as the Chairman of Sahiwal Board will be handed over to the chairman of BISE Gujranwala Mr. Mehar Basheer Ahmed. The board will be responsible for the students living in its jurisdiction like the districts of Sahiwal, Okara and Vehari. Before the establishment of BISE Sahiwal, the educational institutes of districts of Sahiwal and Vehari came under the jurisdiction of Multan where as the educational institutes of district Okara came under the control of BISE Lahore.

The official also told that the board will make necessary arrangements for conducting of next coming supplementary examinations of matriculation and intermediate, but the annual examination 2012 will be carried out by the BISE Lahore and Multan. The process has been commenced for obtaining place for setting up of office for the BISE Sahiwal. Funds have also been allocated for the establishment of board from the budget of BISE Lahore and Multan.
