BISE Gujranwala Introduce new Grade System

Gujranwala, The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Gujranwala has introduced new grades for the examination of Secondary School Certification. As per new policy of introducing grades, the board authority has fixed passing marks as 40 percent instead of 33 percent.
The new policy shows, the students obtaining 90% and above marks will be given A+ grade. Students placed in A grade securing 80 percent to 89 percent marks, the range of marks from 70 percent to 79 percent marks will be settled in grade B. C grade will be awarded to the students collect 60 to 69 percent marks, students will be counted in D grade having 50 to 59 percent marks. E grade will be the final grade for passing students who manage to gather 40 to 49 percent marks. The students who do not succeed in the exam will be counted in F grade and their percentage will be below to 40 percent.
Some renowned scholars and well reputed educationists have criticized on the introduction of new grades which creates problems for the students. Especially the raising of passing marks from 33 percent to 40 percent will create problems for average students. They also demanded for taking back the policy and restore the previous grades as well.
