AIOU Establishes Research Office

Allama Iqbal Open University is the leading university, which is providing distant learning education to the students living in far off areas of the country. AIOU has developed its research office with innovation and commercialization and it can maintain the connection with the industrial sector so that they can share new research in the relevant field.

AIOU, Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Shahid Siddiqui inaugurated the ORIC and this office will continue working for its duties to bring close the researchers to the end users so that they apply the new knowledge to them and bring innovation in the specific field. He also added that the society would get the benefit of the research findings, which are being carried out in the educational institutes.

AIOU provides necessary funds to Higher Education Commission to carry out the research work and it is the duty of the universities, which can certify the complete use and publicize the research findings between the policy makers and the end users, who work for the socio economic development of state. He further added that the repaid socio economic progress of the present day world is continuing with the research work and it will be developed with the new ideas and revolutions in the manufacturing field.

Dr Shahid Siddiqui focuses on the research based activities and it is done through broadcasting research journals and it is also done with the organizing of conference and seminars on the relevant topics and the specific enticement package is also given to the uses for this reason. The head of the ORIC, Prof Dr Nowshad Khan said that a core group would be maintained to evaluate the research discoveries and it can be passed on the reliable one to relevant zones.
