AIOU to Establish 100,000 ‘Open Schools’ in Pakistan

Islamabad, Allama Iqbal has taken steps regarding opening schools in remote areas which is a great initiative. The motive is to open almost 1 lac open schools and educate those students who cannot either afford studies or due to other reasons they are not able to join the schools. The focus of this campaign is to educate more girls as compared to boys in order to increase the literacy rate.
This news was announced by the Vice Chancellor of AIOU when he was presiding in a First Graduates meeting organized at Numl (National University of Modern Languages)
He therefore said that he shall require the help of Government and Private Organization for the promotion of this cause. According to the schedule the schools will be built in the districts where educational facilities are especially needed.
