College for Women Lahore Convocation Students Got Roll of Honour

Lahore, Lahore College for Women University has conducted the 10^th convocation in the University auditorium yesterday. The Education Minister of Punjab and Pro Chancellor of the University Mian Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman was the chief guest on the occasion.

According to the details of the convocation, 43 students got roll of honour and 1165 students were awarded with degrees during the event. The popular and famous ex students of the college were also invited in the event and they were given the memorable shields in the event in which Bushra Ansari was also included. The chief guest while addressing the convocation said that it was very necessary to get standard of education and keep up date ourselves with the changing atmosphere of the country. If we want to control the poverty and ignorance then we should pay our attention on getting modern knowledge. The government is taking steps for the establishment of new Universities for the women in different cities like Sialkot, Multan, Bahawalpur and Faisalabad to get higher education and for the proper representation of women. The government will spend 195 billion rupees on the education department. He further added that their government has distributed laptops among position holder students to encourage them. The vice chancellor Prof Sabiha Mansoor also addressed the meeting and she also presented the annual report of college.
