Debate on criminal justice structure held by LUMS

Lahore, LUMS has organized a conference on criminal justice titled ‘The Criminal Justice System: Towards a Systematic Approach-Perspective from Asia and the Pacific’ here on Friday and Dr. Ali Qazlibash was invited to deliver the lecture in the conference. Hamdard School of Law, Karachi organized this conference.
Dr. Qazlibash emphasized on legal education and culture in Pakistan and asserted the existence of two differentiated educational systems for different economic classes in Pakistan. During his speech, he expressed how the Law and Policy department at LUMS is making suitable and bringing coordination between theory and practice.
He emphasized the need for reassessment of the legal curriculum for brining bar and bench in Pakistan at the same level with international standards. Dr. Qazilbash has also managed three internships for three months with the office of the Advocate General of Punjab which is a legal office that deals all the cases by and against the Government of the Punjab.
