Entry Test and Academic Marks Carry Equal Marks for Grant of Admission in Medical Colleges

Lahore, Entry test for grant of admission in Medical and Dental colleges will be held on September 23 for which test will be conducted in four subjects including English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In the entry test, total 220 objective type questions will be asked like 30 from English, 44 from Physics, 58 from Chemistry and 88 will be asked from Biology subject. It is hoped that about 35,000 students will attend this entry test. The entry test marks and marks obtained in academic career will carry equal weightage. 10 percent marks will be taken from Matriculation examination, 40 percent will be taken from F.Sc Pre-Medical and 50 percent marks from entry test which gives total weightage of marks. If a student having an excellent and tremendous academic career but does not attend the entry test exam then he will not be granted admission in any medical and dental college.
It is also decided that security measures will be adopted during the entry test and no unauthorized person is allowed to enter the area of test center. Students are also requested to reach at the test center half an hour before the commencement of the test to avoid any complication at later stage.
