Now by the officials, the Graduate Assessment Test (GAT) General Test Schedule for the year 2013 is declared. Basically with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), this test has been concerned but to the National Testing Service (NTS), the responsibility of conducting the exams of GAT General Test is assigned. For the admissions in M.Phil and HEC Scholarship Schemes, this test is taken.
Only for two years, the result of Graduate Assessment Test (GAT) General test is valid and the eligibility criteria to appear in this test include those students who have completed sixteen years of education. In many cities of Pakistan, the GAT Test is taken which includes Faisalabad, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Gujranwala, and Hyderabad.
For all the universities, for conducting General Assessment Test (GAT) and for other purpose like scholarships etc, the task has been defined to the National testing Service (NTS) by the higher education commission as according to the new rules and regulations. For every those candidates who wants to take admission in the M.Phil programs, the University will not allow that person to take admission until and unless he or she have a passing certificate of GAT General test which is now also become compulsory. From the HEC recognized University, a candidate must have cleared the 16 years of education in order to appear in the GAT General test and than from the cities where the NTS test is conducted, the student can choose which include Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Gujranwala, Bahawalpur, Hyderabad and Dera Ghazi Khan.
