German Typical School Day

Actually the school day of the Germany are shorter than the school day of the US and usually ends between 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. That is the reason the school seldom needs cafeterias or the study halls. In Germany the schools give plenty of homework to their students and the parents of the students also spend hours to help their children. Actually all those students who do not meet the academic challenges of the particular grade level studies that are in more than one subject are not promoted to the next level at any cost.

Actually they held back for one year duration and have to repeat the same entire procedure for that year. Because of their very high standard of academic studies in the Gymnasium it is common that graduates spend one or even more than one year in schools. All the students that are from Grades 1 to 10 do not change their classroom for every subject and remain in the same classroom through out the day unless and until some special types of facilities are needed that include chemistry, music, sports etc. Students in the classroom sit at tables with their fairly spacious surfaces.
