HEC Awards Rs 23m Scholarships to GCUF Students

Faisalabad, Higher Education Commission has awarded the scholarships to the students of Government College University Faisalabad for Rs. 23 millions. The HEC has awarded the scholarships with the support of World Bank.
Vice Chancellor of Government College University Faisalabad, Prof Dr Zakir Hussain chaired the meeting at the financial aid office and he announced that the University will support more than 214 students through this scholarship scheme. He thanked and praised the HEC for their up gradation of higher education and said that HEC has provided scholarships to more than 10,000 students at local and in foreign countries to complete their education at the higher level. The HEC has increased the number of scholarships to the students from 330,000 to over 1 million. He also announced that the ratio of female education in the university has also improved from 36 to 46 percent.
