HEC Gets Rs. 3.12 billion for Students Studying Abroad

Islamabad, Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Finance has issued Rs.3.12 billion to Higher Education Commission of Pakistan for supporting 10,000 students studying in different foreign country. According to the HEC official, HEC has been granted funds in February 2012 for which HEC had to face difficulties in carrying on scholarship programs.
Now with the timely issuance of funds of Rs.3.12 billion, HEC will support its students with scholarship programs and also continue its other development programs. The HEC spokesman also clarified that with the shortage of fund, they have to face a number of problems. A large of students are studying on scholarship and with the non availability of scholarship in time, they have to encounter financial problems which affects their education badly.
Now admission are being undertaken in Punjab Medical College for which entry test is going to be conducted on September 23, 2012. Government postgraduate College for Women, Govt. Boys College and other prominent educational institutes have been organized as center for the subject entry test.
