HEC National Research Programme for Universities 2016

The Higher Education Commission has demanded applications for research awards of NRPU in several research domains. Faculty members of various Pakistani public and private universities and national researchers can apply for this program.
The purpose for this program by HEC is to promote R&D with facilitation and to help the Pakistani researchers of local universities/ DAIs to meet the challenges of modern world
Eligibility Criteria to apply for the program:

• The applicant must be a full time faculty member of a private or public sector university.
• He/ she should have the research experience after a modern academic degree.
• At one time, only two projects can be run by the principal investigator and their cost must be within the eligible amount given by the program.

Time period:

The candidates will be given the grant for maximum 3 years while there is no lower limit for this grant by HEC.

Purpose of Award and Research Domain:

The purpose of these research grants is to promote and make sure the continuity of research projects by teachers of university according to the national requirement. These grants will be presented on competitive merits. This program will support research projects in the following study fields:

1. Engineering and Technology
2. Social Sciences
3. Management Sciences
4. Humanities
5. Agricultural Sciences
6. Basic Sciences
7. Medical Sciences
8. Natural Sciences

Applying Procedure:

• At the official site of HEC, the application forms are present in MS Word format. The candidates have to submit soft copy of the application before 10^th May 2016 through email. The applicants also have to send 4 hard copies of the application to HEC through courier/ mail.
• In the subject line of email, the applicants are required to mention project title, discipline and zone specification in following way: major/ minor/ project title (Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry/ Project Title).
