HEC Offers ELTR Sponsored Indigenous Scholarships 2013-14

Islamabad, Higher Education Commission Islamabad offers English Language Teaching Reforms scholarships Phase-II for the year 2013-14. The English language teachers who are doing service in public sector colleges and universities and have the qualification of M.Phil, MS in Applied Linguistics and related programs (up to 2 years), Masters in Applied Linguistics, TEFL, ELT, TESL (up to 2 years), PGD, ADP in TESL, TEFL and ELT (up to 1 year) are eligible to apply for the said scholarship. These eligible candidates should submit their application forms till March 15, 2013.

The applicant, who are Pakistani/AJK national and full time/permanent English lecturer and above working in the public sector colleges and universities are eligible for the scholarship, their age should be at most 50 years and the education qualification up to 16 years and have one year teaching experience in English. The fresh inducted or already in service candidates who fulfill the criteria are also eligible for the scholarship. The candidates should deposit fee of Rs.400 in the banks (non-refundable) in the favour of Director General Finance, Higher Education Commission, Habib Bank Limited, Shalimar Recording Company Branch, H-9 Islamabad and submit the original receipt of the bank receipt online with the application form.

The candidates should provide their email address as all the necessary correspondence will be done through email. The detail of application method and terms are conditions are also mentioned in the website of the HEC. The scholarships being awarded by the Higher Education Commission covers the full tuition fee of Rs.1,00,000 and stipend of Rs.2000 per month as per schedule of semester. The commission also issued instruction for the submission of applications through courier/registered by mail to Syed Musa Hassan, Project Manager, ELTR Phase-II, Learning Innovation Division, C&T Building, H-8, Higher Education Commission, Islamabad.
