Hyderabad, Jamat-e-Islami Latifabad zone, Central zone and Site protested for the establishment of Engineering University and Medical Colleges in the region. The local leaders of Jamat-e-Islami led the protested congregation in which they said that Sindh government should take practical steps instead of creating hindrances and develop the higher education in the province. The education standard has been fallen due to non availability of public university and professional colleges. If this situation persists for longer time then this district will become the less developed district of the province.
They also said that their children get education up to intermediate level and with the shortage and non availability of Engineering University, medical colleges and other professional colleges, they cannot continue education and they deprive of higher education and they also cannot get good jobs in the federal or provincial government. They blamed that the government and its allied parties did not allow the establishment of University and medical colleges in the city. The government announced for the establishment of these institutions one year before but the government did not take practical step for the establishment of these institutions and till their establishment, Jamat-e-Islami will carry on their movement.
