Karachi Literature Festival is one of the largest annual education festivals. The festival for the year 2012, which will be held at Carlton hotel, Karachi, will be its third term. It is a known fact that educational institutes are necessary for education, but programs like literature festival 2012 also give a new dimension to education in a society. A long list of scholars who will participate in the event will be observed at Karachi Literature Festival 2012.
Place for the festival is Carlton Hotel, Karachi on Feb 11 and 12, 2012 organized by Oxford University Press and British Council.
The first day of the festival will be crowded with stars, lively conversations with Hanif Kureishi and Shobha De and William Dalrymple.
The festival is held on the back drop of rich literary past of the city like Urdu, Sindhi or English, Karachi has always been a hub of literary activities in the past.
Chief Guest Shobah De, one of the best-selling novelists from India, is also attending the event with writer and broadcaster Victoria Schofield.
