Pakistani Student Performs Well in Physics Olympiad

Lahore, International Physics Olympiad has been arranging competitions in different countries of the world since 1967 in which hundreds of students belonging from different countries participated in the competitions. These competitions have been organized with the objective to give opportunities to the bright and talented students to communicate their expertise and find Solutions of various physics problems. Asian Physics Olympiad has also organized competition in the year 2000.
Taimoor Iftikhar, a 2nd year student of Rangers Public School & College Mandi Baha ud Din has been selected to participate in the 43rd International Physics Olympiad being held in Estonia from July 15 to July 24, 2012 in which students from 81 different countries participated. Taimoor Iftikhar clinched 3rd position. In this competition Hungary became No.1 on victory stand and China stood second. The competition was held on two different locations, at capital city Tallinn for team leaders and at the oldest university town in Estonia, Tartu fort.
