Punjab Examination Commission is an autonomous body under Govt. of Punjab that was established in 2005 with the purpose to take annual exams of 5^th and 8^th class from the students studying in public schools in all the districts of Punjab in order to increase the quality of examination and education in the public sector schools of Punjab. Private schools are also allowed to get registration from PEC while PEC is taking annual exams of 5^th and 8^th class every year since 2006. PEC usually held the 5^th and 8^th class annual exams in the month of February every year. Last date to submit registration forms for 8^th class annual exams 2016 was Monday 16^th November 2016 and now the PEC has announced the date sheet of PEC 8^th class annual exams 2016. According to the date sheet, there are total 5 papers during the exams that will be held from 10^th February to 17^th February 2016. Thousands of students from all the districts of Punjab have registered themselves for the PEC 8^th class annual examination 2016. Now the roll no slips for the students of 8^th class will also be released soon by PEC. Public and few private students of the following districts will participate in the PEC 8^th class annual exams 2016: Nankana Sahib, Rahim Yar Khan, Narowal, Okara, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Lodhran, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Layyah, Gujranwala, Khushab, Lahore, Kasur, Khanewal, Jhang, Jhelum, Multan, Muzaffargarh, Faisalabad, Mianwali, Chiniot, DG Khan, Bhakar, Chakwal, Vehari, Rajanpur, Sialkot, T T Singh, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Attock, Bahawalpur and Bahawalnagar.
