PEC to promote 5th and 8th all class students in next grade

Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) has decided to promote all class 5th and class 8th students. The decision has been taken to implement new education policy. From pass/fail concept, all the candidates are exempted. The students will be called as ‘Promotie’ if they score below than 25% and would be promoted in next grade.
PEC has made number of changes in the previous policy as it issued the new education policy 2014 and decided to promote all the students who’ll appear in grade 5 and 8 exams’ of the board. PEC is organizing the class 5 and 8 exams simultaneously across the Punjab and PEC has issued new formula to evaluate results. On every subject, the assessment will be done and they’ll be declared pass collectively. Large numbers of students are appearing in the class 5 and 8 final exams. PEC class 5 and 8 result 2014 will be announced at the end of March.
