PEF starts New School Program for deserving children

Total 11,000 children will be facilitated under the New School Program, Punjab Education Foundation. The students with low income households will continue schooling with the development phase 5 of New School program. In a ceremony, held to distribute grants to new school partners of PEF, the declaration was made. With the partnership of 125 private schools, the new phase will be completed.
The phase had been started successfully in DG Khan, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Lodhran, Vehari, Faisalabad, Bahawalnagar, Bhakkar and Rahim yar Khan Districts.
In Punjab, the New School Program had provided free education to 74,000 children. This development of NSP is aim to provide education to 85,000 students. In this program, large number of partner schools will take part. This phase will increase the number of partner schools to 517.
The aim for establishment of PEEF is to provide scholarships to needy and talented students to get equal opportunities for quality education. PEEF is trying hard to bring best educational chances for talented but less privileged youth of Punjab and bring them equal to the lucky ones. The initial amount of this endowment fund was Rs. 2 billion and now it has been raised to Rs. 8 billon.
