People should not be hopeless; Dr. AQ Khan

Lahore, Mohsin-e-Pakistan and well reputed scientist Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan while addressing a big gathering of the students at Punjab University on 02, 2012, held at Faisal Auditorium felt deep sorrow over the situation of the country which is declining day by day but people should not be hopeless. The event was organized by Directorate of Students Affairs.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Mujahid Kamran presided over the ceremony while Director Students Affair Chaudhry Iftikhar and people belonging from different walks of life and a large number of students were also attended this beautiful ceremony. Dr. A Q Khan emphasized that students should play vital role as they had talent to bring change in life and can do for the betterment of the country. He also advised the student to elect educated and sensible people in the upcoming election rather than elect illiterate and corrupt people.

He said that scientists and engineers play vital role in the progress and development of the country but on the other hand our senseless politicians were giving statement against technocrats.

He also expressed deep sorrow for the leadership of our country for not realizing that more than 700 verses of the Holy Quran, which becomes 1/8 of the Holy Quran asserted to pay attention to the hidden mysteries of the universe as education is not the priority of our leadership. He also stressed the government should allot at least four percent of GDP to education and two percent for research purpose. At the end of the event, a souvenir was presented to Dr. A Q Khan from VC PU and all prayed for the betterment of the country and long life for DR. A Q Khan.
