PMDC Issues Admission Policy for Medical and Dental Colleges

Islamabad, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) asked all of the private and government sector medical colleges and universities that they should follow the admission policy for students on 85% open merit seats and 15% foreign quota seats, when the admission is being granted to the students for the academic session 2017.

PMDC has maintained the new admission policy for medical and dental colleges on seat of foreign or self finance quote, which are left empty because of the non provision of the eligible candidates, then it will be transferred to the open merit quota and the aspirant will be charged with fee and set the charges for open merit seat.

The official of the PMDC said that the foreign student seats are available in all medical and dental colleges and if the foreign students are not available then this foreign student quota was changed into the open merit quota. The students, who have permanent foreign nationality, dual nationality, or status of overseas Pakistanis, who completed their secondary and higher secondary school exams or equivalent outside Pakistan, they will be granted admission in the medical and dental colleges and university on the foreign student quota.

The medical college will display the open merit list of the admitted candidates on their website. The medical college will complete their admission process till 31 October under the provision of rules and regulations of PMDC. The medical college will show their bank account numbers for the deposit of the fee and the tuition fee of the local students would be Rs.642,000/- yearly and fee for foreign students will be USD 18,000 yearly.
