Prime Minister Announces National ICT Scholarship Program 2013

Prime Minister of Pakistan has announced the National ICR R&D Fund’s National ICT Spring scholarships Program 2013 intake with accumulative of Fall 2012 intake. The students who got admission in the spring 2013 semester and are covered under eligibility criteria showing below can apply for grant of scholarships. This scholarship is funded with various additives like tuition fee, admission, boarding and lodging fee, book, food allowances and scholarships for the successful candidates who are getting education in the undergraduate degrees in ICT programs.

National ICT R&D Fund has offered this National ICT Scholarship Program scholarship to the skilled and intelligent students belonging to rural/metropolitan areas of the country. The main aim for the provision of this scholarship is to develop the human resource capacity in the fields of Information and Communication Technologies in the country. This unique and most benefitted scholarship is provided to the students for 4 years undergraduate degree scholarships in the ICT related programs in the prominent ICT universities of the country. The National ICT R&D has already awarded the National ICT Scholarship Program to more than 2500 teachers and 36000 students and they are also given 3300 fully funded scholarships to various students.

Note: The National ICT Scholarship program for the year 2013 has been introduced by the Prime Minister. The students should visit the webpage of this scholarship continuously and they will also be provided the latest updates as the National ICT R&D will upload the latest information on the website and if students do not follow them then the department will not be held responsible for it.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The students should have passed F.Sc. Exam with Mathematics & Physics in 2011 or 2012 as a regular student from government school/college. The school or college should be registered with National ICT R&D Fund (list of registered schools/colleges is available on the website of National ICT R&D.
• The candidates must have obtained 60% or above marks in Matriculation (Science Group) exams.
• The students should have got admission in ICT related undergraduate degree program in one of the Participating Universities in Fall 2012 or Spring 2013 semester (list of Participating Universities is available on the website of National ICT R&D).
• The candidates should also fulfill the merit requirements set forth by National ICT R&D Fund.
• The candidates should meet the financial criteria, which is mentioned in Prime Minister’s National ICT Scholarship Application Form for Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 intakes. (candidates can upload application form from the website of National ICT R&D).
