Prime Minister Laptop Scheme started for Students

Laptop scheme was launched by the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the brilliant students. The government has initiated this wonderful scheme for the students, who showed brilliant performance in the exams. The government has taken this revolutionary step to enhance the scope of research and quality education and increase the access of the students to the information technology. The students, who are getting education in the public sector universities and degree awarding institutes, which are recognized by the Higher Education Commission and they get registered their names online and they can update their profile.

The students must be enrolled in the Public Sector University, college or Government College of Technology as of 30 June 2016. The students must be enrolled in the MS, PhD, MPhil or equivalent of 18 years program. The students are eligible, who are getting education at the distant learner in Virtual University of Pakistan or Allama Iqbal Open University. The students, who are getting education in Government Degree or postgraduate colleges of federal capital or FATA, they will also be eligible.

The students must enrolled after 30 June 2011 for PhD and June 30, 2014 for MS, MPhil or equivalent, the students must be enrolled after 31 Dec 2014, 2013 and 2012 for MBA (1.5/2.5 or 3.5 years). The students must pass their master after 30 June 2014, Undergraduate studies for 4 to 5 years after 30 June 2012 and 30 June 201. The students pass their diploma of associate engineering after 30 June 2013 and FA/FSc only for FATA and ICT regions after 30 June 2014. The candidates can send their application forms latest by 26 December 2016 online to the Higher Education Commission.
