Punjab Govt ended PEC Test condition for 6th and 9th class Admissions

Punjab government has ended the necessary condition of passing PEC test before admission in government schools. Now all the public schools will give the admission to all students.

According to details, the admissions in all the public schools have been started from 1st to 9th class under “Education for All” program. In this regard, the previous rule was that those students of private schools will not be given admissions in the 6th and 9th class in public schools who have not passed the 5th and 8th class from PEC. But now it is directed under “Education for All” program that all the students will be given admission and the previous condition has been abolished.

According to a survey, more than 1 million students of private schools are seeking admissions in the public schools in Punjab and half among them are the students of 6th, 9th and 10th classes.
