Scholarship of Rs. 2 Billion Distributed Among 40,000 Talented Students

Rawalpindi, Punjab government has established Punjab Educational Endowment Fund under which top position holder students have been given scholarships to support them and help them in carrying on education. This fund has been working since 2008. Now government has announced that they have distributed Rs. 2 billion among 40,000 talented and intelligent students of all educational boards of the province. The government also sent 37 students to different Asian and European countries on study tours.
The announcement has been made in a meeting which was presided over the Commissioner Rawalpindi Division. The commissioner has also appointed Director Colleges as the Division Focal Person and deputy commissioners will be District Focal Person in the respective districts. The meeting also decided to conduct seminars in the government colleges.
