STEM Career Program for Participation in Pakistan Olympiad Team

Higher Education Commission and Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied sciences has made collective efforts for grooming of their talented and skilled candidates which are getting education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Technology. They have made four teams in each subject which showed brilliant performance during the contests and won the one silver, four bronze medals and two Honorable mentions in these contests. The international Science Olympiads have been conducted and they also encouraged the talented and skilled students belonging to different parts of the world.

The students have been given offer for competing with joining in the Pakistan Olympiad teams including 46th International Chemistry Olympiads in Vietnam, 55th International mathematics Olympiads in South Africa, 45th International Physics Olympiads in Slovenia and 25th International Biology Olympiads in Indonesia. The students have been chosen by the 10th National Science talent contest.

The organizing committee has given the final date for the international Olympiads as December 21, 2012 and they also announced the eligibility criteria for applying in the international Olympiads which is:

If the candidates has secured an aggregate of 70% or more marks in core subjects including Physics, Mathematics, Biology and chemistry of matric or O-level then you can apply for one of the four teams designed for the international Olympiads.
The students of FSc first years who is going to appear in the Part-II exams in May June 2014 can also apply for the contest.
The age of the students should not be more than 20 years and will also not be enrolled in the university till 30th June 2014.
the talented and brilliant students of Matric/O-level are eligible to apply for the International Olympiad.
If there is any student whose age is equal or more than 20 years or he is the student of 2nd year of FSc, he should not apply for the subject contest.

There will be a training camps series in which the students will be groomed and screened and in each subject only 4-6 member students teams will be made for the international Olympiads which are going to be held in 2014.
