TEVTA which is stands for Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority was set up by passing an ordinance (No. XXIV of 1999) which is promulgated by Governor of Punjab, after then it was replaced by the TEVTA Act (ACT X of 2010) of Punjab with the objective to extend technical education and vocational training service to poor and less educated young generation of the society in order to make them useful citizen of Pakistan.

Now admissions are offered by TEVTA in the disciplines of Draftsmen Mechanical, Autocad, Electrician, Welder and Machinist. Candidates who have passed their Matriculation exams can apply in the disciplines of Autocad, Electrician and Draftsmen Mechanical but for the remaining disciplines, students with only middle certificate will be considered eligible.

TEVTA is also offering following City and Guilds Diploma/Certificate level Courses. Candidates having passed matriculation exams with science subjects deemed eligible for the diplomas or courses:-

Diploma in Metal Machining
Diploma in Electrical Installation
Computerized Designing (2D level 3)
Computerized Designing (3D level 3)
Certificate in Metal Machining
Certificate in Electrical Installation

Terms and Condition for Admission:

All Interested candidates are advised to obtain admission forms along with prospectus from the main office on cash payment of Rs.40/-. Submit admission forms duly completed on or before 28^th August 2012 and interviews will be conducted on 3^rd September 2012. All candidates should bring original documents at the time of interview. For the regular courses, age limit will be 15 to 20 years but for City and Guilds courses, there will be no age limit.

About 83% seats are reserved for admission on open merit, 5% quota is reserved for disabled, majority and for TEVTA employees each and 2 % quota is reserved for Army. The candidates belong to other cities will be provided with hostel facility.
