Lahore, The board of Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) approved the budget of Rs.8.7 billion for the financial year 2017-2018. The board of the members has approved the budget of Rs.8.78 billion and Rs.6.88 billion was reserved for the non development and Rs.1.89 billion for the development purposes. The 60th board meeting was conducted in the secretariat and the board of the members granted the approval for the start of the classes at first technical university at Government emerging Technologies College Township and Rs.100 million was allotted for this purpose. The authority has also accorded approval for the establishment of the campus at Government Technical College, Raiwind Road, Lahore. The board of members approved the reduction of college fee for second and second shifts of TEVTA colleges. The VC addressed the meeting and said that extension in the technical education was main concern of Punjab government. TEVTA is giving attention to the 3 years diploma programs with the short courses. TEVTA has also made the decision to reduce the fee for the evening classes in all DAE programs.
