UET Lahore Starts PhD Admissions 2013

The University of Engineering and Technology Lahore was founded in 1921 as the engineering institute, which performed well and produced huge number of engineering graduates since then. This Engineering University is also working for the admission of students in various engineering colleges spreading the Punjab province. The admission tests and interviews are conducted by the University and grants admissions in various disciplines of Engineering & Technology. This University is considered the number one university in the province and its ranking is 281 in the world top engineering universities. This university is also staffed with 893 members in which about 24 part time faculty members. This university is imparting engineering education to the students in 33 different engineering disciplines.

The University of Engineering and Technology Lahore has also announced the admission process for the PhD degree for the year 2013. The university also invited applications from the desired candidates and the admissions are offered according to the admission criteria provided by the Higher Education Commission. The University has offered admissions for full time PhD programs for 2013 in the disciplines including Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Mechatronics, Metallurgical & Materials, Transportation, Environmental, Manufacturing, Engineering Management, Architectural, Mining, Water Resource Management, Water Resource Engineering, Hydrology, City & Regional Planning, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Islamic Studies.

The Candidates, who have completed their MSc/MPhil (17+ years degree) or equivalent degree in the relevant fields with first division or have CGPA of 3.0 out of maximum of 4.0 are eligible for grant of admission in the university for PhD disciplines. The candidates should also meet the admission test criteria of the Higher Education Commission.

The candidates can obtain the admission forms from March 25, 2013and submit them duly completed in all respects with paid challans to the relevant engineering departments till April 10, 2013during the working days from 08:00 am to 02:00 pm. The incomplete and late received application forms will not be accepted.

The candidates will have to appear in the admission test of the relevant disciplines on April 21, 2013 at 10 am in the Seminar Hall of Department of Chemical Engineering. The candidates can obtain their admit cards for the test from their relevant department on receiving the admission applications of the candidates.
