Education Department include in Polio Eradication Mission

Peshawar, Federal government and provincial governments of the country have included the students and teachers of the schools and educational institutions with the collaboration of UNICEF for the eradication of polio from the country. Initially four high risk districts including Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera and Charsada and FATA are included in the mission in which the project “School Heroes Initiatives” so that this disease can be overcome.

The main objective of this mission is to give awareness to the people for the eradication of the polio disease from the society. The senior minister of KPK government, Rahim Dad Khan said while addressing the event and he also inaugurated the project. He further added that the government has also added about 400 schools in the expedition where they have completed the selection of the teachers and the students who will work with the teams of polio eradication mission.
