FJWU Media Dept Establishes TV Studio

Rawalpindi, Fatima Jinnah Women University has established a television studio in their Communication and Media department. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Samina Amin Qadir visited the newly established television studio and appreciated the efforts of the faculty members and other team members to establish this marvelous project. Earlier she was warmly welcomed by the Head of the Department of Media and Communication Studies, Dr. Shamin Zaidi when she reached at the department. She also welcomed to all the Heads of the Departments for participating in the inauguration ceremony of the television studio.

Addressing to the ceremony, the head of the department of Communication and Media department, Dr Shamim Zaidi said that it is our great achievement for establishing a fully equipped digital TV studio through which they can provide first hand knowledge to the students. She also thanked the consistent efforts and supports of Project Director Brig ® Abara and Sheikh Amjad for successfully launching this marvelous studio.

Addressing to the audience of the ceremony, Vice Chancellor of FJWU, Prof Dr. Samina Amin Qadir said that the media and communication department of the university has crossed another milestone for establishing a digital television studio which will play a role for providing first hand knowledge to the students and also bring awareness among the students about various aspects of life. She hoped that the administration of the department will handle it for the promotion of education successfully. The former founding chancellor Prof Dr Najma Najam had also a vision for setting up such latest and unique but modern television studio.

At this moment she also welcomed to all private firms, universities and various other organizations and hoped that they will come forward and take part in healthy activities of this television studio and in this way the scope and experience of the girl students will also enhance and they will have a lot to learn from this studio. The production manager Tehreem Rasheed briefed the participants about all equipments and other related things of the project. She further announced that the formal inauguration of the project will be held after Moharam. She also thanked the vice chancellor and all other participants of the ceremony.
